you'll
DO
Your main task is to install electrical systems, components, circuits and cabling on new mobile equipment, test the equipment, and commission it. You will work with engineering project team leads and the Production Manager; assist engineering with creating and updating CAD drawings as required, and may provide installation and startup support at customers sites. There is great potential to advance quickly!
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation of electrical systems, components, circuits and cabling on new mobile equipment designs.
- Develop and effect work plans with project teams to bring new engineered designs through to completion including testing and commissioning into service.
- Verification of electrical system installation and performance requirements.
- Maintain, update, diagnose and repair of electrical control systems.
- Document as-built configurations and modifications on shop drawings and build logs working closely with engineering team members.
- Work with engineering project team leads and the Production Manager to plan and achieve build schedules and budgets.
- Provide support for Installation and Startup at customers site
- Assist engineering with creating and updating CAD drawings as required
- Ensure department priorities are met including safety, quality, production, and delivery
Preferred Qualifications:
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering; Technologist or technician
- Certificate or experience as an Industrial Electrician
- Ability to read electrical drawings
- Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics
- CAD experience
A successful candidate must demonstrate:
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills; able to troubleshoot all electrical issues
- Must be self-motivated; take directions and then take initiative to follow through on a variety of projects
- Previous hands-on experience with various hand and power tools
- Strong mechanical and technical inclination
- Must have strong time management skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure with simultaneous deadlines
