WS6000 Hybrid Water/Sonic Drill

The WS6000 is the latest offering from Borterra, a division of MEDATech. The WS6000 is a self contained, track-mounted, Tier 5 diesel powered drill capable of drilling and/or pacing casing using sonic drilling technology OR Fluid Hammer Drilling technology (Wassara).

WS6000 Cuts Drilling Time by Half

The unit pictured carries 7 lengths of 20′ casing (7″) and 30 lengths of 20′ Drill Rods (4½”) on board. The proprietary “RodBot” pipe loading arm allows the operator to load pipe to and from the onboard rack or from the ground. The Model is available in smaller versions suitable for 10′ Rods, no rods, with Coring and Air Drilling configurations as well as Fluid Hammer (Wassara) and Sonic (Sonic Drilling Corp or Boart Longyear).
