After several successful years and significant growth in our engineering and fabrication services, MEDATECH is re-investing in their facilities at the Collingwood location.
“The expansion will increase our technical capabilities and give us more room to take on larger and more challenging projects” Says Robert Rennie, President of MEDATECH Engineering.
The expansion includes over 5,000 sq-ft of new shop space and a 10-ton crane to help with the larger production machines. Some of the existing space will be converted to an “electronics lab” to house a dyno & test bench for the ALTDRIVE projects. The lab will include a 600 amp service to enable fast charging at the facility.
The engineering offices are also expanding and will be updated to include some additional perks; EV plug-ins for staff, an indoor/outdoor cafe space and a 2 level glass wall that allows the engineering team to feel more connected to the lab.
“We hope this investment shows our commitment to our employees (current and future) that our growth depends on theirs. We want to continue to encourage open and innovative thinking that will keep us on the leading edge”
